I hate the whole thing. All of it. I find it unimaginably creepy and it makes me uncomfortable.

It's so creepy and messed up! Honestly Game of Thrones is a very guilty pleasure of mine, and I only take part because I love a few characters.

Oh god I feel the same way! And the ratings seem so low compared to how many people endlessly talk and talk and fucking TALK about it. A polite "I don't watch" to get out of the conversation is a Bad Idea because then they try to convince you that you will love it if you "just give it a chance." It doesn't matter if you already have or not. You are not allowed to not live for the show.

Yeah but most of the people doing this aren't in fandom or anything like that. This is happening at work and usually I'm stuck in close proximity to these people, or the least I can't tell them to just fuck off or something. I think Seinfeld was the last show that got this kind of reaction from viewers, like most people were rabid fans instead of casual viewers like they are for most things.

I've been lucky in that I haven't been pestered to watch it. But I don't like it, I can't get in on the fun, and I won't be sad to see it end.
