People I don't like calling me by a nickname only my close friends call me.

I'm not your friend, buddy. You will address me by my full name. You're just being creepy by calling me that.

oh no, or when people find out what your friends call you and then aggressively use that name every sentence, grinning and popping their eyebrows all, "Look how clever I am, I found out your SECRET NAME OF POWER!!!1!" seriously, why.

;lskjdf;alksjd that goes beyond pet peeve to creeptastic and ragey to me. This is one of the worst things that can fall in the "pet peeve" category, to me.

There's one particular shortening of my name that I hate and I've had people I barely know use it with me and it just sort of makes my skin crawl, it's so weird. Why do people presume like that?? Names are extremely personal.

I get people calling me by the wrong name which is based loosely on my name and when I correct them they say "whatever" or immediately repeat the wrong name. One asshat said, "Well, it's basically the same name, isn't it?"
Fuck 'em.
