Affectedly cheery people. There's a difference between cheerful and cheery--the first is a way of being in yourself, that makes you pleasant to be around; the second a way of behaving toward other people. And the sheer aggressiveness of it is really annoying--to me, it's like those people who stop you on the street and say "Smile! It can't be that bad!" when they have no fucking idea whether it is or not. Or, God forbid, refuse to leave you alone until you smile.

In general, strangers who make it their business to try to be my guardian angel when I'm upset. It's just weird. Go away, you are making it worse.

Not sure if that's where you were going with that but it's what it made me think of.
