Re: How much water do you drink daily?

About a litre*, sometimes less sometimes more...

I was taught that you are only supposed to drink when you are thirsty, so as long as you don't have any health issues that means you have to drink more water there isn't a need to drink if you aren't thirsty.

Your body should in theory know how much food and water it needs.

*Most of it isn't pure water tho, I drink eh whatever it is called in English, concentrated fruit juice you add water to.

Funny, I was taught the exact opposite. As in, when your body tells you that it's thirsty the cells have already been too dry for some time, so I was adviced to drink regularly even when not thirsty.

Another one of these things where there's two exactly opposite food recommandations going around I guess.

That... doesn't really make any sense, though. I mean, thirst exists so that we know we need to drink, and humans survived just fine for thousands of years just going off thirst as a measure of when they need to drink.

Nah, it doesn't really mean that you can't live healthy going only by drinking when thirsty. It just means, that when you are thirsty, your hydration level is already beyond optimal. So as to achieve "optimal" hydration at all times (you know, that level of perfection almost nobody ever reaches wholly in all areas), it was recommended to me to drink even when not thirsty.
