I think that's a little unfair.

She's been having trouble controlling her powers for years and her parents did a very poor job of helping her by telling her to shut away her feelings and isolating her from other people(though well-intentioned it was still abysmal parenting), and Anna came to her about this when she was already very anxious and standing in a room full of people for the first time in years.

She was very level-headed about turning her down and saying they'll discuss it later before trying to walk away. I'm sure she would have told Anna to get to know Hans more before marriage, and maybe handled how to deal with the extra family, if they'd had that talk. I think it's expecting too much of anyone very anxious, let alone worried they might hurt someone accidentally and be called a monster, to have something that outrageous thrown in their face and think they should have that little bit of extra consideration in the moment.
