10. It's called the guy chases nothing but skirts for the entire series. Because having 10+ heterosexual encounters and 0 homosexual encounters while traveling and sleeping with 3 other guys just screams bisexuality. Yes, Saiyuki fandom, I'm looking at you.

Also, unless the doctors somehow also chose the Gboys on bisexuality and just didn't say anything about it, having all 5 main Gundam Wing pilots be gay or bisexual is a bit of a stretch, hmmm? Not that I wouldn't read a fic where the Doctors actually did that, I think it'd be pretty cool, but my suspension of sexual disbelief ends when you pair off Heero/Duo, Trowa/Quatre and Wufei/Zechs. And the only reason Treize isn't paired off with a guy is because he's dead. Oh, Gundam Wing fandom, you're so batshit insane.

Really, I am a yaoi fan, I'm just saying when you have a womanizing character get together with a guy, with no hints in the series, give us some plausability. Even just a line like 'Yeah, well, I've mostly done girls. Except for that one guy in college who looked and acted like my first girlfriend. Whiny but oh so pretty, and unlike my first girlfriend, doing him wasn't like throwing a hotdog down a hallway. Oh yeah, I could get used to this.'

Not pointing this directly at you - but I expect a lot of people to express this sentiment, and you were the first person to mention it.

Also, being an anon coward because I know I'm going to get bitched out for this and get called 'you aren't a yaoi fan if you say this stuff!'.

Oh, no, I get what you're saying. If there's no indication in the canon at all that the guy is gay/bisexual, that issue obviously has to be at least breifly addressed. My problem with the secret is that it doesn't acknowledge the possibility of bisexuality at all and seems to be saying if a character has a girlfriend or female love interest, he can never ever be interested in a man. That may not have been the intention, but that's how it came across to me.

Regarding your point on Saiyuki, I can kind of understand why people want to pair them up so quickly, especially Gojyo/Hakkai. There are hints that the two are connected at a very deep level with one another, and while I'm aware that =/= love, it does mean that it could go in that direction, if one wanted it to. I don't think they're going to jump on each other at all, but I do think that they could be hiding something.

Also, in Gojyo's profile at the end of volume 1, it says the following:

Although his love for the ladies sometimes leads to problems, he seems to be searching for someone in particular, and it's not necessarily a woman.

I understand what you're saying, though. I'm the same way. But one could be in love with someone and never make a move--I'm in that situation right now, myself.

Actually... There's a point in the manga (if you'd like, I'll look up where for you) where Gojyo complains about not having got laid at all since the Journey started, so that would be 0 heterosexual encounters, too. And while neither Minekura referring to Gojyo and Hakkai as her favorite married couple in interview nor the fact that they spent two years living together in a house with only one bed make Gojyo's bisexuality "zomgcanon," I have to think that those things definitely put it solidly into "not outside the realm of possibility." Not to mention some of the Not Subtle subtext in Gaiden. Which, of course, is not to say that there's anything wrong if you don't see it or don't like it or whatever.

Ah, I was wondering what you're talking about with Saiyuki, but it's the anime not the manga. In the manga, Gojyo has 0 documented hetero-encounters in the course of the road trip (I don't count the flirting as an encounter, since he flirts shamelessly with everyone, especially Sanzo).
