I like them as long as that doesn't become their only trait. Faith from Buffy was fun because yes, she was the snarky, jaded rebellious type, but she was uneven so you never knew what to expect from her. Katniss from The Hunger Games is pretty much evenly jaded and rebellious, so after a while it gets annoying. It's all about how they're written.

Also, writers, take heed - a female character being rebellious /=/ feminism. You can't say you have a strong female character because she sometimes uses a gun and wisecracks. Just saying.
