Narm is when a moment is supposed to be intense, dramatic, and/or emotionally gripping, but was ill-conceived in some way and ends up being funny or ridiculous instead. Think Spider-Man 3.

Glurge is when a moment tries to pack in too much emotion and ends up being eye-rollingly saccharine or stupid. Like if there's a grand farewell and all the characters hug each other a dozen times and give tearful speeches about how much the others meant to them, that would be both narmy and glurgey.
