in french, dogs say "ouaf", cats say "miaou", birds say "cui cui", sheep say "bêêêê", cows say "meuh", pigs say "grouik grouik", ducks say "couin couin", horses say "hiii", frogs say "coa", and roosters say "COCORICOOO"

oh yeah the peacocks! it always made me laugh when i was a kid because i had an old family friend named léon and everytime we'd hear a peacock i'd be like "hé léon, on t'appelle !" (i was easily amused)

...i don't know this joke. what is it?

Reversing to french, else it won't make much sense (not that the joke is that good, anyway).

C'est deux fermiers qui se rencontrent et l'un se vante à l'autre "mon cochon sait compter !".
Alors pour le prouver il demande à son cochon,
"Ça fait combien quatre et cinq ?"
"Neuf-neuf."
"Trois et six ?"
"Neuf-neuf."
"Sept et deux ?"
"Neuf-neuf."
L'autre fermier se fâche ;
"Il ne sait dire que neuf, ton cochon !"
"Ah tu crois ça ?"
Le premier fermier se place derrière son cochon, lui demande,
"Ça fait combien quatre et quatre ?"
lui balance un grand coup de pied et le cochon fait
"Huiiii!!"

apparently i'm still easily amused, because i just laughed out loud

mince je voulais répondre avec une blague pourrie mais j'arrive pas à me souvenir d'une seule. ça remonte à trop loin le collège :(

This joke makes me feel very good about my language skills, since I more or less understood what was going on in it despite not having taken French past a couple of week-long summer programs in elementary school.
