How Do Animals Speak To You

(Anonymous) 2014-03-29 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
In my house we speak Russian, so the cat says "meow" and the dog says "gav". A cat does not purr but "moor"s, which actually sounds righter to me.

Try being Norwegian the song was played every-fucking-where, I am pretty sure if I lose my memory the only two things I will remember is: The Fox song and that that 86,7% of the Norwegian population uses one of NRKs services every day.

...I have rabbits...

(Though honestly, they are not as quiet as many people would assume - Jasmine in particular is very talkative, mostly in the form of growls and grunts. Dusty and Pepper honk when they get excited. No one seems to have come up with words to express rabbit vocalizations, though.)

Cat: miau
Dog: guau
Cow: muu
Duck: cuac
Roster: kikirikí
Chicken: pío pío

and my personal favorite:

turkey: gorgo gordo gordo (which to me is hilarious, because it sounds like they are saying [I'm] "fat fat fat". For some reason I've always found that cute)
