You know Alien? Instead of chest-impregnating you, they were tiny, hairy starfish and put mind control bugs in your throat, which then crawled into your brain, a la Animorphs ear slugs. (They still did the nasty blowjob thing, though.) Also, they were attracted by water, and had hyper-sensitive, uh, glands that sensed anytime there was extra water nearby, so if you had just had a lot to drink because of dehydration, or if many people had water bottles sitting around. One pregnant lady in the third survival group was even in hiding because they could detect the amniotic fluid in her abdomen.

Anyway, they kept finding the groups we temporarily joined, and the Riley-style character kept getting herself and her two kids (one adopted post-mass-attack) out of the most Ridiculous situations. Talk about the best "gut feeling" ever!

I wasn't really a character in the dream, though I stepped into the Riley role a couple times to get a first-person POV for a second.

Probably the best part for me, was that she was one of my bosses from work, who is actually naturally red-headed. I can totally see her going all momma-bear like that about her son, and another kid she just clicks with, too. ACH, IT WAS AMAZING AND I WISH IT WAS A REAL MOVIE!

Wow, this is all shades of cool. I love dreams that have more or less coherent narratives, especially if the entire narrative is based on an idea that still makes sense when you wake up.

Me too! And that it makes sense to other people is even more spectacular! Have you ever had those dreams that are so amazing you want to tell everyone, but they make NO sense coming out of your mouth? Siiigh...

That starfish thing makes me think of Starro.

I have the weirdest dreams. Like one time I got picked up from school from the Flash. Why was I in school? Why was the Flash picking me up? Why was he even driving?

Or the time I had lunch with Wonder Woman and Superman and made them laugh by saying "everyone knows Guy Gardner is really 12 years old."

Years back I dreamt about Resident Evil 1. Like, I was playing the game. Only the house (which I know like the back of my hand, btw, if you asked me to draw a map from memory it'd probably be 90% accurate) was very, very different, and I remember being confused by green carpet.

Admittedly, green carpet is rather confusing.
