Does this apply to all genres or just RPGs?

OP here. I was mainly talking about RPGs. I find real time combat too rushed and chaotic. In turn based systems I get to enjoy the individual attacks. Also, I like hearing characters call out their attacks.

I assume this is mostly for Japanese RPGs?

Though for western RPGs I can't stand Realtime With Pause, so like most of the so-called "golden age of cRPGs" is right out. They were all shit games anyway.
