I think headcanons are fine. They don't really affect anything. It is when you start to push your headcanons onto the actual people (bringing it up at cons, tweeting them about it, telling them they are actually bi and that it is terrible of them to keep it secret), that it becomes a problem.

An idiot emailing a member of Game Grumps telling him he is bi. He emails her back and says, No he is not. In later posts he emails her again telling her that is was rude and distasteful of her to posts the emails online.
