I can imagine the scandal if their dads found out. I like to think one would be shocked and the other would make a show of being tolerant just to piss the other off. (Fëanor would probably be the tolerant one, purely because "bah Fingolfin's only my half-brother, hardly a real brother at all, etc." Cue Fingolfin's inner puppy eyes.)

I personally like the idea of Fëanor being the tolerant one (or at least playing the role) simply because it's a really easy way to troll the hell out of Fingolfin.
