Don't shave unless you want stubble. And it doesn't solve the problem of it not lasting long.

I haven't had this problem myself (yet), but I know my mother uses hair removal cream. This lasts longer than a shave would and you don't get stubble as the hair that grows back is new. If you go for this, just make sure you use the kind for facial hair removal and not for the rest of the body.
