As someone from a country where having a credit card is definitely not the norm unless you have a certain income it always annoys me that so many platforms and people seem to assume that everyone has access to one. All those Kickstarters I would have backed if I could have...

Honestly, I don't think it's petty at all. This dev's attitude sounds very pretentious and preachy, which is a huge turn-off.

To add to the captioned poster's thoughts: some people who could otherwise obtain credit cards choose not to have them, and the reasons for that choice are completely valid. The fact that this dev would look down upon them says a lot about him, and they aren't very good things.

I don't have a credit card (too hard to get one and I don't trust myself). So yeah, not everyone has one whoever it is who is determined people have one!
