Makeup secret? YAY! Let's talk about makeup!

When I'm bored, I like to play around with my makeup for practice and for fun.

And last night I did my eyeliner perfectly how I like it, so I took a picture to immortalize that moment.



And now I weep because I will never achieve that level of eyeliner perfection ever again.

That and Stila's stay all day liner pen.



The fine brush on Stila's pen makes it SO much easier for me because then I can take it REALLY slow, building up the line. I feel like when I use a thicker brush, it's a lot easier to fuck up. But yeah, just slow building the line from the inside of my eye to the outside.

For me, it tends to go like this:

Eye 1: Hollywood make-up artist level of perfection.
Eye 2: A 3-year-old has drawn a cat on my eyelid while I was asleep.

It was an Ulta blush that I got for free a while back. lmao. It's called "Girlie". It's a nice pinky color that doesn't overwhelm my pale as fuck skin. Like the quality of the blush itself is only ok, but it's nice and matte and not too dark so I like it. And hey, it was free!

I'm usually really shy about bold lip color because idk. I'm used to playing up my eyes and going more natural with my lips. But last night, I was like "no! I shall use red lipstick!", so I busted out the red lipstick I got in my Julep box a few months back and once I got used to seeing myself with a red lip, I kind of loved it.

I love it when that happens. I rarely use lipstick, but sometimes I think Behold! Today is a Lipstick Day! It doesn't always work out, but when it does, I find it's an immense confidence booster.

That colour is gorgeous, btw.

Also, foundation under lipstick - y/n?

How do you get eyeliner above your lashes without it floating about a millimeter above them and really looking like a drawn line? The only way I can ever get eyeliner to look okay and not really fake is by "tightlining" (putting it under the lashes instead of above) and that tickles like crazy and makes my eyes water.

I think the fine tip of the liner pen that I use helps. Idk. I just go REALLY slowly and basically start the line by drawing on TOP of my lashes and then build it up from there.

Ooo, mad props lady, that's impressive! I'm not very talented with eyeliner and it makes me sad because it's one of my favorite types of makeup.

Oh my god how. I can never, ever get eyeliner on the top lid right, I always end up looking like a ten year old did mine for me(or my ten year old self who's only just discovered make-up anyway). I just stick with a khol pencil on the bottom lid because I can apply that with moderate success most of the time.
