Well, maybe it's more like a triple or quadruple edged sword.
Because like, I DO think that things that are seen as 'girly' are made fun of, especially for younger kids. And then even as adults, feminine things are seen as less important.
BUT the other side of that is that by being feminine, you're fitting into the social norms that makes it easier to navigate society.
Gah, I'm being really confusing right now. I guess my point is that by being feminine, you're at an advantage in some respects because you're fitting into the exterior mold that the patriarchy has created, but by doing so, you're also being seen as weaker.
