Lots of straight men have very different views about gay men vs women, largely hinging on their viewpoint of girl on girl sex as being hot, primarily for the male viewer's benefit, and likely to end in a threesome. But if you *ship* something, it's at least partially about the relationship between characters. It's different from if you just like Char A getting banged and Char B is as good a dick as any for banging.
