I wouldn't call it a movement, but occasionally I see angry MRA types throwing fits over how makeup (and heels, and pushup bras) are literally deception and should be frowned on because "they allow unattractive women to lie to men about how they look and get dates or sex under false pretenses." Apparently these men have lived in a monastery all their lives and are unaware that EVERYONE knows about these things and NO ONE believes that women have all been born with eyeliner and stilettos and hiked-up cleavage.

Excuse YOU! I was too born with high heels on! :|

Not make up though, I am far too lazy for that. XD

Lol, that reminds me of how when I was like 5 or 6 and used to play with barbie all the time* I would pretend that her weird proportions and the odd things about her body, like the permanently high-heeled feet, were the result of crazy plastic surgery.

*I mean, I STILL play with barbie occasionally, but I do it in secret now lol

XD Aw. Sadly, I actually have shortened hamstrings/calf muscles because I've been walking on my toes since I learned to walk. It's really uncomfortable when I wear sneakers/sandals for long periods of time, so I actually wear heels at work.

I knew a girl who was like that in high school. She wore extremely high heels every day and was basically digitigrade - she took her shoes off and was way more awkward trying to walk flat.

I wonder if my baby has that issue, too. It seems like he must have some kind of sharp implement he's kicking into my ribs.....

The best part is that those same guys will then complain about how women "don't make an effort anymore" and how we should try harder to look good like women ~~used to~~ and blah blah blah.

That's because they are not so much interested in actually fomenting any kind of meaningful societal change as they are interested in complaining about women.

I do believe I've found a new favorite quote.

While they wear enough Axe to be smelt across the street

One of my former friends told me I was wearing too much make-up and pointed to my sister, whom I see put on makeup while I'm still attempting to drag my ass out of bed, as an example of "natural beauty." I mean, bro, do you even makeup?

(This wasn't the reason we stopped being friends, but it was a manifestation of it.)

So, I wonder: what do these dudes do when they go out? Do they forgo bathing, toss on dirty clothes, and neglect to tend their head and facial hair? Or do they shower, put on a nice set of shirts and pants, comb their hair, shave or trim their beards, and apply cologne?

I'm willing to bet they do the latter, and I'm willing to bet that they don't view such as "deception."

God damn, men are dumb sometimes.
