Re: Most ridiculous "trigger warnings"?

I don't think this one is ridiculous, but perhaps a tad overboard: I saw a TW for emetophobia because the poster said something along the lines of "God, I'm feeling sick after eating, I hope I don't puke" and as I am emetophobic myself I still didn't get it. I mean, I go D: if I see someone puke or hear the sounds of puking but just looking at the word... no. At which point it made me wonder why the poster wrote about their nausea in the first place if they have super emetophobic followers.

As for ridiculous... I saw someone who TWed "bubblegum", although I don't know if they were being serious.

I actually do get a bit sick when people (including myself) talk about puking, but for the love of God I do not need to get a trigger warning for it, heck the trigger warning is enough to make me go there... As long as it isn't pictures/gifs. and such of it, I don't care... It isn't like it will make me actually have any long lasting bad effects because I saw someone talking about it... I just man up and get on with my life actually if I accidentally stumble over pictures and such of puking I just look away if you are in the room with me on the other hand things will get interesting quite fast...

For the record: Nothing against trigger warnings in general, but the line must be drawn somewhere and for me that is anything worse than "slight unease" you can trigger warn.
