Same way a lot of homophobes fetishize lesbians and watch lesbian porn: "fantasy is okay, but reality is not". Or they think of homosexuality as a fetish and not an orientation/identity - same way someone might have a fetish for sex blond people or fat people or whatever, sex with one's own gender is just another fetish and not something that should be legalized.
