I don't think Allison's death served any kind of purpose plot-wise. Crystal Reed wanted to leave the show with no possibility of coming back. I respect that decision but am still annoyed when so many other people (Jackson, Gerard, Deucalion) get to walk away.

Erica and Boyd's deaths also barely served a purpose. Sure, lets further shit on Derek Hale and make him feel guilty and alone again :/

Peter Hale needs to die and stay dead. They haven't really done anything with his storyline and his shtick has gotten old.

Not happy that Kate Argent is back at all. Not looking forward to that storyline because it's yet another way to beat Derek down and I don't need or want to see him angst even more. The guy deserves a goddamn break.

Why the hell would they even bring Kate back? Her storyline was a rarity in TW: it was properly concluded and in a way that made sense. So of course they feel a need to shit all over it by making her a were-smurfette.

Ugh and I was reading an interview with Jeff Davis and he was all excited about Kate coming back since he's apparently been planning this since he "killed" her. He also said that we'd be surprised about who she teams up with, or something along those lines, which I'm pretty sure means Derek and her are gonna have to work together at some point which I just find not cool at all.

He's also said that Derek has a "love/hate" relationship with Kate. And that Derek will get a love interest next season.

Pretty sure at this point what Jeff Davis thinks he's writing and what actually shows up on the show are two completely different worlds.

Jeff Davis can be a real idiot. If they do have to work together for some reason, the writers need to tread very carefully. Kate seduced Derek and killed almost his whole family. There better be a damn good reason that he doesn't spend the entire season trying to kill her.

Sure that's what the fans think, but I've seen/read Jeff Davis talk about Kate and Derek's relationship before and he never seems to think of it in the "she seduced/took advantage" angle. Maybe I'm misinterpreting his tone and words, but he seems to think that it was a legitimate relationship and that the fire was in fact Derek's fault. So yeah, I don't think the writers will be treading carefully or even have a good reason for pairing them up, if they do.

(I wish I could find the interviews I'm thinking of, there was one in particular where he talked about the fire and Derek and Kate but I am drawing a blank in my searches.)

He seriously thinks Kate and Derek were in a normal relationship?! I know we don't know Derek's exact age but it's been implied more than once that he was under 18 when they were together. It infuriates me if JD actually thinks Derek is at fault for the fire. What a jackass.

On the Wolf Watch right after the finale, JD talked about Derek getting a love interest and Jill Wagner joked about it being her, but then he said it wasn't another psychopath or sociopath and one of them (I think Tyler H) said to Jill, "Well it isn't you then!" That gives me hope if it's true.

That is very upsetting if true. I wish someone would ask him at a con or something flat out "How do you view Kate and Derek's relationship?" or maybe "How old was Derek when he met Kate?" though that one obviously would not be answered since Jeff Davis hates to be pinned down on ages or time-lines.

They've already got Derek acting like a comedy duo with fucking Peter, the guy who murdered his sister for power, for no good reason, instead of trying to kill his uncle every chance he gets. I have very low expectations for how Derek will interact with Kate.

Me too. I always said the only thing that would get me to stop watching is if Stiles died/Dylan left the show, but depending on how they handle Derek and Kate's interactions, I might not be watching after S4.

And man I find Peter entertaining to some degree but he really has no purpose other than to snark and for some reason have people trust him? Like what? /forever bitter that the writers seem to have forgotten that PETER KILLED LAURA WHY DOES DEREK EVEN TOLERATE HIS ASS BEING AROUND? REALLY? /and how can Lydia even want to be in the same room as him /EVER

I liked Kate a lot as a villain but her arc was done in season 1 and I'm side-eyeing the whole 'I've been planning this since I killed her' BS because I really fucking doubt that, I've seen your writing Jeff Davis, I'm pretty convinced you've been making this shit up as you go since the end of season 1.

(I am also super worried that Derek's 'new' love interest is actually going to be Kate and if that happens I am going to be done with the show, completely. The last thing I am ever going to want to see is a victim get back together with their tormenter and it be played as completely fine and romantic instead of how unbelievably fucked up it really is.)

I used to like Peter but they keep him around when no one likes him or has a reason to trust him. There's no character growth and I couldn't agree more about how Lydia treats him. It's like nothing happened between them :/

Right, he has things planned in advance. I'm disliking him more and more.

If he skulked around as a villainous douche causing problems it'd be one thing, but having him be part of the gang is just baffling, but then everything with the twins got shoved under the rug and forgotten about just because Davis liked them.

The plans are a lie wrapped in forgotten character development.

I'm really starting to wonder why Reed wanted to burn her bridges so absolutely when nobody else who left the show seemed to want to. Not to suggest anything skeevy pushed her to it, I have no idea of the circumstances, but it's a little odd for someone to want to void all possibility of a future paycheck just because.

Her official story is that she's in her late 20s, still playing a teenager and she wanted to try something else. She claims that she took Allison's story as far as she could (which is bs, imo). I think she wanted Allison to be killed off so that fans wouldn't annoy her about returning to the show. But who knows if that's the whole truth.
