I have a dental-related one too! I had part of a filling break off here in Korea, and I was hesitating to go to the dentist because few people speak English, but my Dad's insurance no longer covers me so it was pointless to wait and get it done at home so off to the university dental hospital I went! It was super intimidating at first because all the signs were in Korean and mine's decent but not that good, but the people at the desk saw a confused-looking white girl wandering around and called out the best English-speaker on staff to point me to the right desk and fill out the admission form. I got checked out, x-rayed, old filling drilled out, new filling put in...there were translations difficulties a-plenty but they did a great job and the whole process took about 3 hours and cost me under $200, God bless Korea!

Woo that is awesome. I have to eventually get a bunch of fillings, I hope none of them ever break. Did it hurt bad?

It didn't hurt at all...tbh this was an old filling and it was always a little wonky, like there wasn't hardly enough space between teeth to floss because of it, and one day without me hardly noticing a wee chunk broke loose (probably swallowed it lol)...I only noticed the next day when I was like "what is this odd little hole in my molar?"
