Modern Family: I really don't love Mitchell/Cam as much as I wish I did. I love them as characters, but sometimes their arcs make me wonder how they ended up raising a kid together and getting engaged. I want to love them, but the fact that they still can't be honest with one another bothers me.

Harry Potter: I liked Hagrid, and never saw the hate in all the seven years I was in fandom. Yes, he was a horrible teacher and maybe not the best role model, but I liked the purpose he served, and that was what mattered to me. (Although I didn't like his role in HBP.)

Oh, in the fandom he was compared to Jar-Jar Binks. I think a lot of it was his accent, honestly. But yes, Hagrid ruled, though I didn't think he'd make it to book seven and survive.

Sometimes I wish I hadn't missed the Harry Potter fandom, and then something comes along to tell me "no you don't." This is one of those times.

YES to Mitchell and Cam -- I love them as characters, but they really, REALLY need to just talk to each other, and why can't they? Because it would mean the writers would have to be very slightly less lazy in constructing plots? They've been together for a million years and they have a child; JUST TALK.

People hated Hagrid? This is the first I've heard of it (but I wasn't in HP fandom very much, I guess)
