Yes, he was a horrible teacher and maybe not the best role model, but I liked the purpose he served, and that was what mattered to me. (Although I didn't like his role in HBP.)

(Anonymous) 2014-04-05 12:11 am (UTC)(link)Oh, in the fandom he was compared to Jar-Jar Binks. I think a lot of it was his accent, honestly. But yes, Hagrid ruled, though I didn't think he'd make it to book seven and survive.
