As for wants, I really wish they'd been able to do that Giles spin-off that was in the works. I'd love a mystery Doctor Who spin-off with Vastra, Jenny, and Strax (with an occasional guest appearance by River).

Oh, I loved Crusade. This is the first time I've thought of it in at least ten years, but I loved it. Edward Woodward was in that for at least one episode, wasn't he? I have a distinct memory of my whole family sitting down to watch it and just saying his name over and over.

So much with you on a Paternoster gang (Vastera/Jenny and Strax) spin - off, only if we can see occassional glimpses of Matt Smith as the Doctor (seriously, there's like a ton of Vastra and Doctor backstory that we're likely not to get now that Matt's Doctor has regenerated into Capaldi's Doctor)

I would probably enjoy this more than Doctor Who itself, tbh. (Not that I don't like Who, but I haven't been as into the last couple seasons.)

I really wish they'd been able to do that Giles spin-off that was in the works. Yes! I still haven't given up hope, tbh. I can't remember if it was Joss or ASH but someone teased about it about two years ago and I wish they'd just do it already or never mention it again.
