Spin-offs!

Are there any spin-offs of previously established works that you like? How about those that you dislike (plenty of those, I'm sure)? What kind of spin-off of your favourite works would you like to see?

The ending of Kill la Kill made me want a short slice of life spin-off.

I always liked Frasier as a kid. Didn't really hate any. I'd love a spinoff of Supernatural. Either Cas and Crowley living Odd Couple style OR a show about hunters in other countries.

Heh, I'd love both those spin offs of Supernatural. Especially the latter. A spin off of Supernatural in Britain with frequent stops for tea and biscuits. A spin off in some country where ghosts and monsters are more widely believed it so it becomes more of a Scooby Doo kind of show with serious overtones. I know Supernatural was originally going to be like that and although I do like the whole angels thing in the current show, I'd still love to see how it could have been!

So bored with NCIS: LA. Though I'd keep Hettie. Everyone else can leave, Hettie joins NCIS, and she and Ducky have AMAZING adventures and tell the best stories.

They are doing a spin-off of Supernatural. But it won't involve Cas or Crowley. (As of yet.)

I like Agents of SHIELD and Stargate Atlantis

I REALLY want a Leverage spin-off 'Leverage International' headed by the trio with frequent cameos from NAte and Sophie

Does Stargate Atlantis count? I really loved both Stargates, which I suppose could be considered a spin-off of the original movie in a way.

Crusade (the small bit that we got)- the Babylon 5 spin-off
Star Trek: TNG, DS9, and Voyager
Torchwood (first 2 seasons)
Clone Wars
Angel the Series
Private Practice
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland

As for wants, I really wish they'd been able to do that Giles spin-off that was in the works. I'd love a mystery Doctor Who spin-off with Vastra, Jenny, and Strax (with an occasional guest appearance by River).

Frasier. Angel. Laverne & Shirley. The Jeffersons. The Sarah Jane Adventures.

I would really like about 52 spin offs of Breaking Bad and The Wire.

A lot of people have already said the spin-offs I like. No need to repeat.

I would like to see a spin-off of Mass Effect that deals with The First Contact War. I think it could be interesting.

Spin-offs I liked:

- Pretty much all the Star Treks except the movie AOS. Yes, even Enterprise.
- Stargate Universe. More than I liked SGA or SG-1, really, but I suspect I'm coming at it from a different direction
- I liked the first two-and-a-half seasons of Angel more than I liked Buffy, but then things went all depressing
- L&O:CI was my favourite of the L&Os
- NCIS:LA, primarily because Hetty is hilarious, though I stopped watching both it and the original a while back. I really ought to watch JAG at some point for the original original in that universe
- Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines. Though it suffered from lack of the Ant Hill Mob, really.
- Lewis. Maybe more than Morse, but that's because I like Lewis as the older sane one training essentially Morse Mk2
- Batman Beyond. Also Static Shock, and basically that whole animated universe out from Batman: TAS and Superman: TAS


Stuff I want/wanted:

- A live-action UNIT spin-off of Who, set in the Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart and/or Brigadier Bambera eras. Not going to happen now without an actor switch, which I'm not sure I could handle.

Angel and Torchwood are the two obvious ones I like, but also I prefer NCIS:LA over NCIS... Which in turn is a spin off I think?

I would really love to see a Teen Wolf spin-off focusing on Kira. I really like Arden Cho's acting with the character and the mythology could be really fun...if it's a spin-off that Jeff Davis has nothing to do with.

Stargate Atlantis is my favorite spinoff. I can't think of any others I like off the top of my head.

Ace Attorney Investigation games, the one where you play Edgeworth. I'm not sure about the rest of the AA fandom's opinion on the games, but they hold a special place in my heart since it was the first AA game I ever played. I always like the set up let them play with the formula of the cases a little more than in the original series.

Never really got into Stargate:SG1. But I will watch Stargate:Atlantis all day long.
