What if you like the show but agree it's dismissive of women?

But yeah, I liked SPN enough, I just found it weird that there were basically no female characters - and that the fans I knew (who were women) seemed to like it better that way.

Eye candy, though? I mean, sometimes I want to watch a fucking stupid show with hot dudes crying and being homoerotic. Not saying I like it better that way because I fucking loved Jo and Ellen and I love Jody and Charlie and Abbadon is cool too and Lisa was okay, but Supernatural is a fucking straight girl soap opera of ridiculous stupidity with hot white dudes being emo and dumb and I'm okay with that.

Hahaha oh man, this reminds me of the people who say things like "No one would care about Free! if it was genderswapped" or "Free! needs more female swimmers."

First of all, no fucking duh I wouldn't care about Free! if it was like everything else out there. Second, Free! caters to a specific need and demographic and that's how it found it's popularity, no shit. It has a purpose as is, and that's... a totally valid purpose? No every story needs to be built with every need in mind.

What if you like the shows but hate the fandoms precisely because of how the female characters/actresses are treated?
