spoilers for Thor: TDW
I like the idea of Ragnar/Athelstan (and Lagertha/Athelstan/Ragnar), but think Athelstan deserves better (as does Lagartha). (At least I think this is an unpopular opinion because I see SO much Ragnar/Athelstan praise on tumblr.)
I find Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to be genuinely entertaining and think it could be much worse.
I probably would've liked Thor: The Dark World more if Loki had in fact stayed dead. Bringing him back and having him keep on fooling everyone indefinitely is not something I'm interested in. It would have been a nice moment of (semi)redemption had he actually died selflessly, but now he gets to live and keep fucking up everything for everyone.
Peter Hale needs to die and stay dead. He's had some good moments, I won't deny that, but he's outlived his welcome imo and now his continued existence just makes me rage.
I like the new Star Trek movies. They're fun, pretty action flicks even if they don't live up to people's expectations. They don't need to be amazing and flawless re-imaginings of the original Trek for me to enjoy them.
Snow/Charming (ONCE) are adorable together and extremely lovable characters.
I'm kind of glad Firefly ended when it did.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-05 12:51 am (UTC)(link)He doesn't really make me rage necessarily but I was glad that 3B used him somewhat sparingly and I have to admit that I let out a big groan when the whole "malia is his daughter" thing was revealed (they kind of let it go once it was revealed but I'm assuming they'll pick it up in season 4. uggggh). He's just such an unnecessary character

(Anonymous) 2014-04-05 02:10 am (UTC)(link)It's one of only two shows I make a point of watching as they air instead of time-shifted. The other is Grimm.
Re: spoilers for Thor: TDW
Ooo, is it? Haven't the ratings dropped a good deal? Though they may still be good enough to warrant a renewal. I know the reviews for the premiere were good, but I thought they had been rough since then. I have heard more people talking about the show getting better though, so maybe the media is liking it more now too.
Awww, yay SHIELD! I think I'd like Grimm but I've been too lazy to watch it.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-05 12:54 am (UTC)(link)Isn't that how most fans feel? I thought "Snowing" was the most popular het ship in OUAT.

There might even be more, I haven't had time to keep up with TW news in the past week or two.

Re: spoilers for Thor: TDW
All the characters being introduced might go the way of Parrish and the twins and have scenes here and there but ultimately be unimportant. (Unless Parrish was secretly important? He was to me anyway, but I still don't know if he's coming back next season.)
Re: spoilers for Thor: TDW
(Anonymous) 2014-04-05 01:00 am (UTC)(link)Huh? How is this an unpopular opinion. They're the most adorable True Love romance on the show, and the only one that so far hasn't been an angst-fest from start to (usually heartbreaking) finish. I mean, they have their moments, but generally they are reliably honest, funny, true and supportive of each other.
Okay, Charming has had problems about lying since his time as David. He should stop that. And their universe really, really likes to drop bombshells on them. But at least they're not perpetually alive-dead-alive like Rumbelle, and Emma genuinely needs to not have a romance for a while, they're mostly only breaking her apart.
Also, they have some of the most hilarious moments on the show. Snow attempting to explain Rumple's relationship with Henry to Charming will never not be hilarious to me. Not to mention Regina and Emma's reactions to their more intimate/sappy moments.
Re: spoilers for Thor: TDW
I do like how much of a team they are though. And how they're very much equals, and when the show isn't giving them (often) contrived angst they're extremely loving and honest and good together. They have a near perfect relationship and one of the better on-screen marriages I've seen in some time. If one of them ever dies I'm out.
So agreed! They need more light moments together too. (Emma walking in on them that one time was gold.)

Re: spoilers for Thor: TDW
That's another reason it didn't sit right with me that Marvel almost immediately undid it; it was a damn good death scene! LOKI DESERVED THAT DEATH SCENE. It doesn't hold the same meaning for me now then when I wasn't certain he was coming back. (Granted, I DID think he would, but...I had hope they wouldn't be predictable and do it by the end of the same film.) I'm still angry that they didn't even keep him dead for a couple films. I feel like they could've had a much more interesting storyline had they killed him off and possibly brought him back later, outside his own volition. He could've teamed back up with Thor, maybe fought his trickster nature (badly), it would've been fun. Now we're going to get a whole 'nother buttload of angst and I don't even want to forgive Loki; he's a dick.

I like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., too.
Re: spoilers for Thor: TDW
Yes! I'd like for more cameos on SHIELD (maybe for Sif to return because she was flawless), but even without tons of cameos I've enjoyed it.
