(Anonymous) 2014-04-05 09:38 am (UTC)(link)There are ways to grow besides reading, and there is nothing wrong with reading what you enjoy. Not everyone is going to want to force themselves through something they hate simply for the sake of something, that is frankly abstract at best, growth.
Plus reading doesn't automatically mean someone will learn from it anyways.
And for the record, I say this as someone whose been accused of reading far too much multiple times [and, oddly enough, by both teachers and my parents]. So I'm not saying this because I hate reading.
