Oh, I've been in that situation. You know, one or two - and maybe even three jobs - sure, maybe I'll buy that it was a bad place, and they were bad people and extenuating circumstances, whatever whatever. But after that: the common thread in all those failed jobs is YOU. At some point, you have to face that maybe it isn't the whole world that's wrong - maybe YOU'RE doing it wrong.

And I did eventually come out and say it, although more gently than that. Oddly enough, I can't remember what the reaction was, though.
