Yeah, I always have a niggling feeling this is just the other side of the coin of straight-up racism.

I assumed the secret maker was looking for representation and hated having one of the few not-a-walking-stereotype Asian women they had killed off, but I could be wrong.

But it would be an issue for me if they fridged a woman in a TV show who wasn't killed off in the books. I'm just not personally familiar with this series and came down to the comments to find out more about it /shrug
