Ava's Demon. I don't read it, but no other comic has that palette plus that art style. (And yeah, I can see how it would get tiresome.)

There are a lot of movies you can sort of expect people to recognize, and you don't have to name those. Same for TV shows. But Penny Arcade is the only webcomic you can reasonably expect people to recognize--even XKCD isn't that commonly known.

I don't think so. I get the logic of labelling something unfamiliar, I just don't get why Penny Arcade is the only one. I'm not sure if I would recognize Penny Arcade--I read it maybe once and thought it was boring. But I'd recognize the ones I read. I think Homestuck/MSPA is pretty obvious. I don't know a lot of the popular movies and shows either though so...idk.

Only if it's the trolls. The only other comic I know of that has characters similar to the trolls is Olympus Overdrive, whereas someone like Jane Crocker could be hard to recognize from fanart.
