What about the ones who come from a place of "I've decided to champion the cause of X group whether they like it or not and have given myself a licence to be an asshole to anyone who opposes me including members of X group who obviously hate themselves if they can't see that I'm doing good by being a prick to people on their behalf"

There's a lot of it about.

Oh. Oh gosh.

Okay, as a member of an X group whose cause has been 'championed' by assholes who know nothing about what we need or want, I'm one hundred percent more sympathetic.

(hope I wasn't like a huge asshole earlier!)

Eh. The one I see more is "everyone who opposes me is a member of Y group, and therefore their opinions are worthless and so are they". Even if they say they're a member of X group, they must be lying, because somehow these fine individuals can divine privilege status through the Internet. This means that they never have to deal with members of X group who disagree with them.

^^^^ This.

I know an aspie who reblogs a lot of autistic stuff and that's fine. Black trans dude wants to reblog related stuff? Utterly cool. White lady going off about how black woman shouldn't be allowed to do any BDSM kink scenes because they're not really kinky it's just internalized racism and misogyny making them think they enjoy kinky things? NONONO. Not enough nope in the world.

Please tell me that's an exaggeration and not an actual post. D:

It was an actual post. You can't make up stuff that crazy.

*headtilt*

I can understand some black women not knowing certain kinks exist and/or aware that having these kinks is okay, because they're not in a community that's open about it... but INTERNALIZED RACISM AND MISOGYNY!?
