well researching for art is a lot different than researching for a fic. Anatomy, color theory, perspective, all of those things go into drawing a picture, all of them are research to create a better work. OF course you can say the same thing about writing, but when you look at a picture you can immediately see what's wrong with it by glancing at the work. So I'd say the research is probably a lot more equal than you'd think.

I also don't think either should be sold.
