I've liked CGI since I was a tyke watching ReBoot and Beast Wars, but the current and very particular brand of bobble-headed, giant-eyed stylism that dominates the design of human characters really turns me off. And it's sad because they have the technology to do yards of hair and piles of snow and delicate ice sculptures in astonishing detail, but the humanoids keep coming out off-putting and lazy, and I don't understand why.

They look like Barbies when they're supposed to be pretty and they look like cartoons when they're not. Neither of those appeal to me, myself.
