8. Maybe that's because Legend of Legaia... sucked ass?

I mean, I'm not talking about story or anything. FF7 didn't have the best story ever or anything.

I think the reason why LoL wasn't popular is because the mechanics of the game sucked so hardcore. It took AGES to level, bosses were cheap bitches, and for some reason you moved slow as molasses on the world map. I never really got that.

And well, I guess there's the fact that non-FF RPGs have a really hard time in the U.S. It sucks, but that's just how it is D: And I don't think LoL's lackluster gameplay really helped.

36. I agree. I got tired of reading all the comments saying that Rossiu is a dick that should have died (I watched GL on streaming sites sometimes). I really hate when people are too close-minded to look beyond the surface of the story D: It's the same reason most guys seem to hate the main character of Tales of the Abyss.

I like Rossiu, though~ He was in a really stressful situation and did what he through was right. Being a leader entails making those kinds of difficult decisions. Too bad some people don't seem to think about that when they watch it and just go, "OMG, WHAT A DICK." Meh -_-

13. Actually, you're making a fairly good decision. But if you ever DO decide to touch the fandom, don't ever, EVER, EVER go to ACF.

It's an absolute hellhole. Everyone's an asshole, and the shippers are among the worst I've ever seen.

(You don't hear too much about FFVII shippers, but they're definitely bad. I'm involved in the whole shipwar (I ship Cloud/Aeris), and even though I can't stand the other side(Cloud/Tifa), my own side bugs the shit out of me sometimes too. It's all just ugly. SO MUCH WANK.)

tl;dr version? You're making the right decision by not entering the fandom. I mean, there's plenty of fun people in it, but so much wank and drama and general assholishness kills it. =/ I totally am with you on this one.

XD; I know a looooot of people think that, and I can see where they're coming from, but I look how Autor reacts to Rue and compare it to how he acts around Fakir...and all I can conclude is he's straight, and his dominance of Fakir isn't a sexual thing as much as it's a "I'm insecure that I'm not a direct descendant of Drosselmeyer like you, so I'm going to make sure you stay under my thumb and depend on ME for your power" sort of thing. It's open to interpritation, of course.

Sometimes I wish that too. The fandom is full if insane crazies and I'm not fond of most of the fans. But then I think back to playing the second game and I remember looking at Sora and wishing I could take the world as it comes at me like he does.

And that kinda changed my life. It didn't "stop me from killing myself" or anything, it just let me have more self-esteem to survive the rest of the school year and kept me from running away from home. XD And then I'm glad it happened.

Then I got my math grade back and spent the entire summer moping before I met a real person who turned my life around, but it's the thought that counts, right?

#16-I'm totally there with you, I've had that happen to me with the novel Sabriel by Garth Nix. My story was completely different but there were some base important similarities, and while it's obvious the author hadn't copied you (and had no way of doing so) it still hurts? *hugs* I say write it anyway and see where it goes, it wouldn't be the first retelling of Alice in Wonderland and it sure as hell would probably be better then The Looking Glass Wars. GIve it a shot, I know I'd read it :D.
