13. Fuck off. If your favourite game was brutally raped in the ass artistically, intellectually, and fandom-ly, you'd be pissed as hell too. From a more objective standpoint, I don't see how anyone could side with people who have no interest in playing the game and only care about "aesthetics" versus people who are upset that their shit is ruined.

I've only seen like, two people EVER get dicky because someone that played the original game came into fandom recently. The general criterion is simply, "Have you played the original game?" No one gives a fuck otherwise, sry2say.

Well, I ended up revealing my identity by accident earlier, so, no point in remaining anonimous.

Anyway.

The most insulting part of the post was a heat of the momment, angry-rant (misderected as it may have been), so, I apologise.

Next.

Being pissed: fine, really, I don't have an issue with it. However (and this is where I failed in explainig myself secret wise), seeing drama being brought up even when the compilation is as much as mentioned, and people being afraid to confess that they actually liked one of the spin-offs (granted, I've only seen this part once), I'd say that's a bit too much.

36. Rossiu is my favorite character from GL. He did what he thought was best. It wasn't what maybe you would've done or even agree with. He reminds me of Wufei (looks and personality) and I don't want to see another character I love get hated on. =(

I know it can't be too nice to have it shoved in your face, and it is getting kinda old but you gotta learn to just take it really. I mean dead baby jokes will prompt anybody who's came in contact with a dead baby to complain if you can get away with giving that the boot for your own reasons. First off, let me say that I completely subscribe to that quote. I'm of the opinion that things should be laughed at more.

That said, I'd like my rape (or dead babies or whatever) jokes to contain actual humor. Because most of the time I see one it reads more like "look I said RAPE LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL" and we're supposed to laugh as if the mention of rape made it automatically hilarious. Sure, it's all fun the first few times, but after a while I'm beginning to feel like I'm supposed to find it an inherently funny subject matter when, really, it's not. Which is not to say that I take them seriously, because I don't, but yeeeaah, I can see how it can get offensive after a while.

(I'm not disagreeing with you. I just felt the sudden compulsion to add in $0.02.)

13. Well, personally, I don't dislike the people who have only watched AC or played the new games or whatever without playing the original game, and then just sort of leave it at that without really going into the fandom or anything. What I DO dislike, however, is when people haven't played the original game and then act as though they know everything about the characters and storyline, or will bounce up and down over AC and then turn their noses up when they're faced with the original game (I've seen people refuse to play it because THE GRAPHICS AREN'T PRETTY ENOUGH OMG OMG). I've seen this in the fandom, I have friends who used to act like this, and it's just flat-out irritating to watch, I'm sorry. I dunno, maybe I wouldn't be as annoyed if FF7 wasn't such a big part of my childhood.

Buuuuutttt for the record, I don't mind the new stuff that much. AC was some nice eye-candy, DoC was alright (from what I played, anyway :B), and I am looking forward to trying out Crisis Core. It's just the fantards that bug me.
