Um... if you're that affected maybe you should work on that. Somehow. You even admit you know your reaction is far more severe than warranted from the situation. So, yeah.

It's difficult for some people. Especially people who have low confidence to begin with. When these people put something out there for it to be torn down it can feel crushing.
