To be honest, I don't mind fanservice that much either. There is always a line, though. It's always obvious when fanservice is the only reason a character or story exists and those annoy me. And I wish that, if there must be fanservice, do it to both girls and boys.

That's how I would go about fanservice, not have it define one character or a whole story, and make sure I do it for both sides so it doesn't appear like I'm objectifying one sex

One-sided objectification is unfair and alienating, is what it is. This is one of the reasons why Game of Thones is so shitty.

When I'm watching a fap anime or whatever, I want my men objectified, having women's sexualized boobs and assess alienates me. Same for men and their fap media, they want to see naked girls, not boys.

This is fanservice, not social justice bullshit. Give people what they want to see.

Yeah, this. Fanservice happens. I get aggravated when fanservice is ALL that happens.

I kind of agree. Take high School of the Dead. That whole fucking SERIES was fanservice, right from the start. wish there'd been more of the guys though...but it was so over the top and ridiculous that I ended up enjoying it. Plus, I LOVED the over story. It was a nice Zombie Apoc story and I loved it.

But when it's obviously unnecessary...it gets creepy and uncomfortable.

Yeah, this basically. If there's a good story, I can ignore or enjoy the fanservice. But otherwise? Nah, not for me.
