I think that, to the extent that you took stuff down, you reacted too strongly. However, I do understand how you feel, OP. Depending on the nature of the criticism, sometimes it only takes a single person to knock all the life and motivation right out of you.

The thing is, if you are fulfilled by writing, then you've got to keep doing it. Perhaps there's some small gem of concrit buried in that blog post and you can take and absorb and use to get better, but otherwise, you've got to do your best to let it go. That probably seems impossible right now. But as someone else said, you'll never be able to please everyone, and if you get caught up in doing so, then you'll cheat yourself out of doing something that you enjoy. And trust me, it's not a good feeling when you realize you've done that.
