Late to the party, but sharing anyway.

I'm a librarian, and I enjoy buying YA materials. I read this (listened via audiobook, actually), and I really enjoyed the first book. I couldn't wait to get to the second book.

When I actually did get to the second book, I gradually disliked it more and more with every passing day. I mean, really. How can she keep surviving and having those close escapes?

I've checked out the 3rd book 3 separate times, but I still can't make myself listen to it. To be fair, that's partly because I have lots of other audiobooks/print books. Mostly, though, I just can't care any more.

Then I read that Tris dies in the end anyway, and I wondered just why I put myself through the torture of reading all of book 2 as it was.
