(Anonymous) 2014-04-30 10:05 am (UTC)(link)Many people here have written supportive comments, but once again, on this visit to F!S, I see just how judgmental and unkind most people are. I generally regret reading the comments here.
Everyone has an opinion on the internet, and seems to feel the need to share it with strangers. (Not unlike I'm doing now.)
Some of the comments here about how you should "learn from" sporking and how it's impossible to write quickly and well seem very ignorant to me.
I definitely do not tell people how quickly I can write anymore! One gets better with practice, and telling someone it's impossible to write quickly because they can't, well it seems to me rather like a third-grader telling an adult they couldn't possibly have done something because the child thinks it's too difficult.
Dean Wesley Smith (professionally published writer for several decades) has a good article written debunking the myth that writing quickly is bad, by the way: http://www.deanwesleysmith.com/?p=9789
I certainly hope you don't post secrets here in future, if you are even reading the comments. I don't think F!S is a safe or supportive place, if it ever was.
