I got one of my favorite comics, The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, as well as the companion trade off eBay for not too soul-crushing of a price :D

I had an awesome morning at work and a quiet afternoon in the library. The weather was wonderful and I could even enjoy it indoors because the library has a huge window in the ceiling where the sunlight was spilling in. It was a really pleasant day overall. :D

Awesome! I got to meet Don Rosa at a con once but unfortunately I got too flustered to get across that, yes, it was his work I used to go trawling through old geocities pages looking at and, no, I wasn't confusing him for Carl Barks. Didn't help that there'd been a guy talking about super hardcores specifics for ten minutes straight in front of me, and that my group kept texting me that they wanted to get headed out soon.

I played a bit of Ace Attorney Dual Destinies today and Pearl finally showed up! I'm so stoked to go on playing ... except that I have an exam in two hours oops.

I talked to SCDOT and me and my team are meeting with them on Wednesday. They're begging us to write a grant so they can give us $400,000. We're going to get this guy in our corner and tell us how to write this sucker.

Worst case scenario: they don't fund us. But they know our names, they know we talked to them and covered our bases, and when we reapply next year we'll get the money then. That's a helluva good worst case scenario.

My foster father isn't as sick as he was yesterday! Which means less death bed and more just too sick to come home from the hospital.

so my last minute plane ticket to go back North was less necessary, but I don't regret going back home.

I filled up my Prius's gas tank for the first time today.

I've had it for over a month.

The errands I ran afterwards took me around town for about 8 miles, and so far the car is calculating my miles per gallon at 50. FIFTY. MILES PER GALLON.

I actually got a lot of plotting done, which has been tough this week. Also got my brakes adjusted so the car finally doesn't shake anymore, and I'm starting to get the hang of the gerund in Italian. Pretty good day.

Me and a bunch of friends stayed after school and got drunk and watched The Thing on our giant classroom screen. With piles of junk food (and also fruit). It was awesome.

My housemate let me sleep on the couch. Doing irresponsible childish things like falling asleep playing video games really makes me feel pretty great. :D
