I have a fanfic that I promised myself I'd finish, and a lot of people seem to like it, but for whatever reason, I can't seem to finish it. I have it all mapped out in my head, the plot's all there, but every time I actually sit down in front of a computer, I just... Nope.

Writer's block is the worst. Were you the person who mentioned on their tumblr that a bunch of prompts was making you want to write?

Ugh, I feel you on that. I was so excited to do the cotton candy bingo this year. It's not exactly block I have, I just haven't been in the mood to write at all.

2. Personally? I find having someone to talk to via a real-time chat can often jump-start the writing. Even if they don't know the fandom, if they're half-way decent at asking leading questions it's often a big help.

That does look interesting. How exactly does it work? Do you just comment with what you're working on, and talk to people?

yeah, it's a very low pressure comm, but it does help sometimes to have a place to brag a little (or be cheered on when you're in slog mode.)

(sorry for the late reply; a con I am planning on going to is a week earlier than I thought, so I've been spending quite a bit of time focusing on making my cosplay outfit rather than being on the computer. <3)

I get that so bad sometimes. I don't know why.

I'm just about to sign up for a big bang and my one fear is that will suddenly happen again. For the first few years of writing, I never had it at all. Now it's all the time. Usually in bursts, then goes away again and I'm writing fine and then SLAM.

Anyway, I feel what you're going through and sympathise greatly.
