What have you been putting off?

Do you have any movies/games/chores/etc that you have been putting off but really need to get done?

I need to get around to watching Snow Piercer. I have it bookmarked but have just not had the time. And I still need to read the books I got for Christmas (though I am halfway through The Haunting of Hill House).

I also need to put the window film on our bathroom window so that I can finally shower in peace (and take down the scarf we have been using).

What about you?

Getting dice. I really should - a group of people are starting a D&D group that's doing it's first meeting next weekend, and dice are pretty important but...I just can't ever remember to head to the local gaming store to get them.

Oh, and writing. I should. I promised myself I would but I keep getting distracted by shinies.

I have dozens of TV shows people have said I should get into, but I'm just really awful at committing to TV. I think it's because I get so impatient that once I'm hooked on something I can't help up binge-watch it, and I just have so much other stuff to do. All the Star Treks except TNG, Stargate, True Blood, Lost, to name a few.

I also need to buy fabrics for my next project, work on my knitting, go to the bank, sell my stuff on ebay...

I have 4 essays due in May and I've suddenly decided to catch up on Game of Thrones instead. Arghhh.

I've got towers of books in the middle of my room because I pulled them all out to decide which to put on my book case and which to pack back up until more space is available, got as far as sorting them out, abandoned the project to go to work and then just never got back around to it. It's been almost a week. For an added bonus, I've read less than half of the books in question.

I have a fanfic that I promised myself I'd finish, and a lot of people seem to like it, but for whatever reason, I can't seem to finish it. I have it all mapped out in my head, the plot's all there, but every time I actually sit down in front of a computer, I just... Nope.

I just got a new scanner this week. And I've been putting it off hooking it up because then I would have no excuse to restart my webcomic again. (I want to do the comic. I haven't been able since my scanner broke down back in December. It's just that ugly head of doubt is rearing up. And I don't know if anyone will go back to reading it again.)

Get my ass in gear and stop stalling at looking for a job up at work.

I like my area and the people in it, but my boss has pretty much screwed me over for the last year.

My current pay-rate does not include the kind of job skills I have now and have been doing for the past year, off and on and now almost consistently for the last 3 months.

So it's either I go to HR and report him and try and SEE if I can get the money I feel I deserve or just say fuck it and bid out of this particular spot.

Tidying my room.

Yeah, it's a mess. And yeah, maybe the bins are overflowing a wee bit. But the more I get nagged to do it, the more I dig my heels in and refuse to do anything. I don't like being nagged. It's not like I fucking want to live here anyway.

Everyone else is going away next weekend. I'm staying here, with the dogs, because I think it's cruel to force them to go camping when their behaviour the entire time is fearful and panicky. I might do a wee spot of tidying up then. I'll have the whole house to myself, so I can drag my clothes downstairs, close the back curtains, and try them all on to throw out what doesn't fit, and make decisions about what to keep out of the rest.

Too many to list. My Steam library is littered with games I never even started and probably never will.

I think probably towards the top of the list are Dragon Age Origins (need to finish), the Souls series (haven't finished) as well as Kings Field The Ancient City, need to do Borderlands 2 finally, and so on.

I have had vatta's war on my laptop for months since someone posted a secret about it. I want to read it so much, but just cant seem to find the motivation (if that makes sense.

Not fandom, but I have successfully dodged my anti-depressants for 5 day's now. I'm not actively trying to avoid them, it's just panned out that way.

Start writing my bachelor thesis (monday though, monday sounds like a good starting point, right?)

Sending out some university applications

Draw that p2/p4 character line up (but i did envision some sketches just ... day before yesterday, that has to count for something)

The window film thing confused me, tbh. I don't think I've ever been in a domestic bathroom that didn't have a frosted window installed as standard. Heck, most public bathrooms that have a window to the outside world have frosted windows as well.

Rearranging my bookshelves and actually working on new short stories and fic instead of just constantly going over old works and "improving" them and pretending I'm actually doing something useful in the process.

I keep putting off catching up on Arrow, I tell myself everyday 'I'll watch an episode today' but I end up getting distracted by something else and forgetting about it, I think I'm like 2-3 episodes behind atm.

Well, I don't need to get it done, but I was enjoying playing through Dragon Age again, expecting to play through Dragon Age 2 again (and the DLC for the first time), but...RL happened and I haven't had time for it. When I do get a little time rather than boot up my computer I'm on tumblr instead, reading Cap fanfic or here on f!s.

Same for my DVR; it's almost completely full and I'm so behind on shows, but when I have a bit of time I just...don't feel like watching it. I did almost completely catch up with OUAT, but that's about it.

I've done a decent amount of straightening up and cleaning around the house, but there's still a lot more that needs to be done, but...I'm just so damn tired by the time that I get around to it that I say, "It can wait."

Cleaning the house/organizing things is the main one.

I also have a long list of stuff I need to look up info on, and a huge folder of bookmarks on my computer that I saved when I was busy with something else, intending to read or watch or look into them later. But now I'm dreading it because there are so many of them now that it's going to take forever. I probably should just delete it all and be done with it because it's been months and if I haven't needed that information before now it's probably not all that important.

And there's a bunch of stuff at work I need to catch up on but to be fair to me I need some information from my boss before I can do some of it.

I've been putting off watching Hannibal and Sleepy Hallow. I've been rewatching old favorites instead. I really need to get on that when I'm not so busy. When I'm busy, all I want to watch is stuff I know.

Working on my fic for a fandom Olympics challenge-thingy. I was excited to start it but then a whole bunch of new stuff for one of my other fandoms came out and now I really want to write stuff for that fandom, and it's hard to get myself into a mode to write for the first fandom. It doesn't help that I tend to have bad perfectionism issues and I keep looking at what I've written and thinking it's terrible while trying to remind myself that it's just a first draft, it'll get better, I just have to freakin' finish it.

I've been wanting to watch Twin Peaks for about a year now, since it seems just up my alley. I never got to it because, uh, I'm just lazy and get distracted really easily.

I got Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi for Christmas for the 3DS. Still not played it yet.

I know I'm going to love it and want to write fanfic for it. That's the only reason I've put off playing. I want to finish my other fanfic first.

It feels like a really weird, stupid reason. I'm putting it off because I know I'll love it too much.
