I hate that I was sick for a week and now have to catch up on school work. I'm still pretty worn out and don't have the energy and I had a 7 page paper due today that I wasn't even capable of starting until this morning. It got turned in a couple hours late and I'm pretty sure the professor isn't going to accept the "I was fucking sick" thing even though I missed his class.

That sucks. Being legitimately sick should be a valid excuse for teachers, but they don't think so unless you're dying or something. How are you supposed to do well when you're feeling like crap?! :/

Missing class with a doctor's note is okay, but not being able to do work because I'm sick is somehow not. I got the impression that he expected me to be able to research and write during that time in spite of being sick to the point that I couldn't breath, taking a ton of cold meds (and codeine for a couple days), and doing nothing but sleeping for 5 days.
