Naruto. Motherfucking Naruto.

I like the characters and the story, and the animation, but the show is so fucking awfully paced. I watched the start of Shippuden recently, and that fight between Sasori and Sakura took so many episodes to play out, had SO FUCKING MANY flashbacks to the same fucking scene, and had so precious little actually happen. WHY SO MUCH TALKING?!?! GET OVER THERE AND TWAT HIM ONE!

Trying to get to know twitter better since I do social media for my job, and no one seems to be on it... it's weird, they talk about it like everyone has/uses it, but I can't find anyone. Half the people I did find didn't even add me back. It's weird. (This is a "revived" account from years ago, too, so it's not like people haven't had time!) Beyond that though I don't get the hype, though it's fun for quick and easy news and info.

There's one main group of friends in my fandom, who pretty much run the place, who don't like me and don't like or reblog any of my shit. I could literally write and film and produce an entire new season of the show and they would ignore it on principle.

Petty as fuck, I shouldn't care at all, but that's the point of the thread.

Dear friends, I'm sick of being treated like I'm letting the side down every time I don't want to go out at the weekend.

I have SHIT HEALTH. Sometimes I can barely make my work commitments, going out drinking is so SO low on my priority list. I know all of you are hale and hearty so you have difficulty imaging where I'm coming from. BUT YOU COULD TRY.

When people say "fustrating" for "frustrating" and it's not a case of a regional accent, they're just consistently mispronouncing it. My freshman-year dorm roomie said it all the time, and it's commonly heard on competition reality tv.

HOWEVER when I see people claiming they're more compassionate while they cuss out people who disagree with them feeding their omnivore pet vegan food or about eating meat ,Or when they try to claim that cows are "raped" to produce dairy/milk, When they tell you that you're a hypocrite for disagreeing about matters of animal care because "you eat meat" - these kinda things piss me off.

Also seeing militant vegans be all "the hardest part of being vegan is the evil of other people who eat meat" . When they claim that seeing people eat meat made them a fuckin' MISANTHROPE (you decided you hate humanity because of differences in diets , you're a freakin' child).

I do believe in getting your meat from places that are humane, and for knowing where your meat comes from and stuff. I believe in all of that.

but don't be sanctimonious about it FFS.

There's a huuuuge difference between dressing up as a caricature of another race to mock them and dressing up as a character you like because you fucking like them.

My accent isn't that hard to understand, dammit! My accent is south east Virginian (Virginia Beach) and, yes, it's soft. But people around here in North Carolina act like I am speaking a foreign language. Just about every time I hit the deli counter and ask for a "third of a pound" I have to repeat myself two or three times before they understand. Sometimes I even put on a different accent like New York, just so I can be understood without having to repeat myself.

I hate people telling me what I should boycott, or trying to guilt trip me in to boycotting something, especially if they try to shame me when I refuse. It actually makes me want to shop there MORE. I've seen this both fundies (I remember this one lady ranting about how it was my "Christian duty" to boycott the movie Hop because 'omg the Easter Bunny ignores the true meaning of Easter' and because one of the crew members worked in adult entertainment once.) and from the SJW crowd.

I boycott things only if I have a reasonable suspicion that my money is going toward something that is ACTIVELY hurting people. I boycott Chick Fil A because I don't want my own money going toward an organization that harasses LGBT and I boycott Autism Speaks because their work is actually damaging and harmful to autistic people and because they have plagiarized work from autistic people and they have harassed and threatened legal action to silence autistic people who spoke for themselves. I don't trust them one bit.

I don't boycott a company because they don't agree with some issue, or one person in the company says something people don't like.

If you try to tell me I'm a bad person because I won't boycott what you think I should? I'll just roll my eyes and move along. I can make my own decisions.

So, I just stumbled upon a fanfic writer that has, on their front page, a notification that 'non-consensual beta' is not appreciated. And. Just. What. What does that...it's such an asinine thing to say. I am irrationally angry about the entire thing. What manner of person can honestly write something like that?

My sister has taken advantage of my good will for years - asking me for favours while I'm super busy at work, that kind of thing. Door mat that I am, I always made time for her. Now she refuses to apologise for not calling or texting me for three months after I almost died in hospital.

When I explained my reasons for being angry with her? I'm bad natured apparently.

FFS. Just how am I in the wrong here?

My online friend and I used to be really close, but... ah I'll just outline it:

-she's working like three jobs, only one of which is paid (the other two are unpaid internships), so we rarely hang out anymore
-she is incredibly naive and doesn't understand how shit works (she was going to go down into a scheduled, alcoholic dorm party and tell them to turn down the music so she can study; she walks through big city alleys at night alone; she's made insensitive posts on people's drawings on tumblr (ie. someone is crying and they have a scrunched face- "are they pooping"))
-she will do her classmates' homework for free (yes, the whole thing), but when I'll ask her for advice on an assignment, NOT asking her to do it for me, she treats me like an idiot and dances around the answer and basically doesn't help at all
-whenever I try warning her about something, she'll disagree with me and say how wonderful that something is, etc. etc.

And I can't fucking tell her anything because if I do, she gets butthurt and mopes around for like a month. I once told her to kindly stop calling me a weird nickname and she basically locked her tumblr blog so it only showed a sad face for three-ish weeks. Normally I'd have moved on by now, but she's literally the only friend who remembers my birthday and she used to be a really cool friend before she got all weird. I guess I'm just hoping she'll get over it and be the way she used to be.

Coworker lady - please please please stop talking about your (unborn) baby. I realize, being pregnant is a big deal, you're excited, you're nervous, you're ecstatic.

But I just don't care that much. I mean, a conversation every once in awhile about what your doctor said, cool. But can we please talk about me for once, or even you but something else about you, because I'm starting to believe there is nothing else there except pregnant belly and new ultrasound pictures.

I'm really annoyed with all the Islamic fundies and local imams saying "WE SHOULD BOYCOTT NESTLE BECAUSE THEY ARE FUNDING ISRAEL AGAINST PALESTINE!!11!1" and I'm like "Do you people even realize how modern economics work!?" Also, boycotting Nestle means no Milo drink powder (a really big thing here) and I don't wanna be trampled by loads of parents (most of them Muslim) wanting their kids to "grow strong bones".

Yeah, calling it hypocritical doesn't even begin to cover this...
