this is so dumb. When you tell someone to avoid dangerous places you aren't doing it to call them stupid, you're doing it because you don't want them to get hurt. It's working on the knowledge that there are people who prey on others and that you can take preventive measures. You can't stop dangerous people from existing, but you can try to avoid them.

Look, this isn't even implying rape. You're more likely to get mugged by a stranger than raped. Victim blaming rape is way more nuances than "don't walk through dark alleys". It's a risk, considering that people get mugged in the middle of the day and in broad spaces, you shouldn't get into places where it's even more convenient for criminals
