I'm not actually a fan of MCU or comics but just in a general sense, I disagree with this. The movies are based on the comics so I think they should have some loyalty to the original series. But, then again, comics are pretty unique in that the capes stories are so sprawling and they're not totally static in their depiction of characters and their relationships. I still kind of feel like if Character A and Character B have a thing going in the comics, it doesn't make sense to just put Character A and Character C together in the movies.

But Natasha has had relationships with multiple characters in the comics. Bucky isn't her one and only love interest (they're not together right now actually, if I recall).

They're not, because of the HORRIFYING way they got broken up. *has slight rage issues over it*
